Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing have been Nico’s professional activities since 2000.  He is a certified Microsoft SQL Server Specialist, originally as DBA-expert, shortly afterwards he started to focus on the implementation of the complete Microsoft Business Intelligence solution, including SQL Server.

During the last 9 years, Nico has been implementing Microsoft based BI solutions (covering all versions 7.0, 2000, 2005 & 2008) using all components including: DTS/Integration Services for ETL - Analysis Services for OLAP cubes - Reporting Services - Excel 2000, 2003, 2007 – MDX - Performance Point Server.

He has a profound knowledge of the complete Microsoft BI stack as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of dimensional modeling, ETL processes, data quality and customer requirements analysis. As Senior BI Architect, Nico also has a profound knowledge of project management, specifically with the Prince2 methodology of which he holds a certificate as Prince2 Practitioner.
